High End Shopping on ShopNBC

Looking to shop for some of the finer things in life without having to leave the comfort of your living room or den? Thanks to the glory that is satellite television, and the digital channel ShopNBC, you won’t have to any longer.

With its physical headquarters stationed in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and its digital home on DirecTV channel 316, ShopNBC has become a dominating presence in a world where a myriad of other satellite television channels compete for viewership.

This American broadcasting company and shopping network is owned by ValueVision Media, and with partial ownership by GE Equity and NBC Universal. Since its start under the name ValueVision, the network’s reputation with both customers and the Better Business Bureau has been more than satisfactory, and once the network solidified a 10 year trademark agreement with NBC and a quick rebranding, ShopNBC was born officially in November of 2001.

Though many other home shopping networks will sell small items and trinkets, ShopNBC specializes in bringing higher end, big-ticket items. According to ShopNBC, their average sales transaction is at least $225. One of the main focuses of the network is beautiful jewelry, all original and made by such artists as Sonia Bitton and Neda Behnam. These high end pieces can sell for many thousands of dollars.

Although jewelry is very popular on the channel, ShopNBC hasn’t forgotten the importance of fancy household items such as big screen televisions, computers and high-ticket electronics, Serta comfort mattresses and even top quality skin products from brands such as Prai Beauty.

Thanks to the many well experienced hosts for the channel, as well as great and varied programming blocks, ShopNBC on DirecTV should continue to lead the way when it comes to an at home, comfortable and entertaining home shopping experience.
